Course description
This
online course is for those who want to know more about how to help keep
children safe when they access the internet through all media (including
phones, gaming devices, computers, tablets and TV).
Prior to the course:
You
will have an understanding of the necessity to safeguard children when they are
online and it is likely (although not essential) that you will have undertaken
an advanced Safeguarding course.

online or using mobile devices

understand online/mobile social interactions and associated risky behaviours
and the ways in which you can help minimise these

continue to learn and develop and to reflect on your practice as a professional
foster carer
Objectives
To
enable you to:

areas of risk for children online and through other applications

why children may be at risk in social networking scenarios
- Understand
how you can support them to make safer choices

aware of the ways in which children hide their online activities from adults

strategies for staying safe online and when using phones and other devices
